When We See Each Other was taught by Artist-in-Residence (AiR) Sam Richardson, whose work in photography interrogates the acts of collaboration, representation, and inclusion, tirelessly pushing the meaning of collaboration and questioning collaborative relationships between artist, subject, and the community at large.

During this YAP, youth artists learned how to produce art within practices or care by creating their own photographic journals, engaging in histories of photographic collaboration, and envisioning how they and their communities would like to be represented at this current moment.
