URBANO INVITES ARTISTS TO PROPOSE EXHIBITIONS
FOR OUR GALLERY SPACE
Urbano seeks to foster a philosophy of artistic expansiveness, supporting works that blur boundaries between art and lived experience. Through artistic collaboration, participating teens and adults are challenged to create works that take place both within institutional spaces and in the community beyond the walls of the studio.
We invite artists or curators to submit exhibition proposals for realization in our gallery space in the Jamaica Plain Brewery building. Urbano is particularly interested in proposals that take an innovative, site-specific approach and involve our youth community, either in the making of the work or through an artist talk.
